POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Responsible for assigned work and production area in a timely manner at an expert level
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to: Project Manager
Reports to: Lead Installer
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
Required: High School or GED
Preferred: High School plus Apprentice Program Completion
Licensing/Registration/Certification Required: Valid Driver’s License and Proof of Insurance
Licensing/Registration/Certification Preferred: Valid Driver’s License and Proof of Insurance; CTEF Certified Tile Installer and/or Journeyman Card
EXPERIENCE
Required: 5-year minimum as professional tile installer with verifiable experience
Preferred: Registered Journeyman with at least 5-years’ experience or a card carrying apprentice
TRANSPORTATION
Required: Reliable truck or van equipped with own tools

- Ability to work on multiple tasks and function under time constraints

- Ability to mix thinset & grout
- Ability to unload trucks
- Knowledge of grouting methods
- Ability to sweep floors
- Knowledge of job site cleanup requirements
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Ability to accurately read a level and tape measure

- Time management skills
- Ability to follow directions and give directions
- Ability to read blue prints, drawings, and specifications
- Knowledge of products
- Knowledge of installation procedures
- Expertise in tile layout strategy
- Ability to mud floors or walls
- Ability to rework floors and walls

- Working knowledge of intricate materials
- Working knowledge of shower assembly
- Working knowledge of the TCNA handbook
- Working knowledge of the ANSI handbook
PHYSICAL
Walking, stooping, and lifting up to 50lbs. unassisted; Must have the ability to twist and have full use of head and torso; Must be able to reach, grasp, bend and flex arms, legs, wrists, and hands; Hand movement must allow for holding all hand tools and power equipment; should have excellent sight and hearing
MENTAL

WORKING CONDITIONS
Construction sites and residences, both new and remodel; Drive to job sites, shop, and vendors; Prolonged standing, climbing bending and kneeling, working with sharp and rough materials, working with sharp tools and power equipment; Subject to variable weather conditions, moderate to high noise levels; Exposure to airborne particles; Wear respirator, safety glasses, ear plugs, latex gloves; May be required to work alone on a job site
